An Evening with Heather: "Finding Happiness in 2015 - No Matter the Circumstances "

MP3 Audio Recording + Resources

Most people spend their whole lives seeking the right house, the right car, the right job, or even the right family. Yet, deep and lasting happiness does not come from your external circumstances. The happiest place in the world isn't actually a "place" at all. It is a space -- a space within you.

7 Critical Factors of Happiness
Waking up happy isn’t an easy task, especially when you are raising a child or children with difficult and challenging behaviors! In fact, sometimes truth be told, you don’t even want to wake-up and start your day. In this webinar, Heather will discuss seven critical factors to finding happiness, even when your family dynamics are chaotic and draining.

Yes! It is possible to find internal happiness even if you feel like you’re living in Crazytown.

The Science of Happiness
Psychology has always studied unhealthy minds instead of healthy minds. Until the last decade, happiness was never considered a serious enough subject to study. But now, science is showing us that there are about 100,000 chemical reactions going on in your brain every second. Your brain contains happiness-enhancing “drugs” like endorphins, serotonin, oxytocin, and dopamine. We need to take action to produce and maintain these in our everyday life to be healthy and happy.

Your Happiness Matters
Children’s emotional stability is typically gauged on their ability to attach to the parent. However, the parent-child relationship is a dyad, meaning there are two people involved. The parent has to be “inviting” to the child. If you’re a parent, your happiness and well-being has everything to do with your child’s ability to make connection with you. Being happy means being safe and emotionally open and it gives your child the message that, “I can handle you.” Your happiness does matter!

“Happiness depends more on the inward disposition of mind than on outward circumstances.”
~ Benjamin Franklin

"You can't wait for your external circumstances to create your happiness. True happiness comes from within and, thus, is always available."
